REACTION TO THE POEM "DAHIL SA PAG-IBIG"

DAHIL SA PAG-IBIG ni IƱigo Ed. Regalado
KAHAPON…
Sa tingin ko’y tila pawang kalumbayan
ang inihahandog ng lahat ng bagay,
pati ng mabangong mga bulaklakan
ay putos ng luksa at pugad ng panglaw;
akala ko tuloy itong Daigdigan
ay isang mallit na libingan lamang.
Mangyari, Kahapon
ang dulot mo’y lason.
NGAYON…
Sa mga mata ko ay pawang ligaya
ang inihahandog ng bawa’t makita,
pati ng libingang malayo’t ulila
wari’y halamanang pugad ng ginhawa;
sa aking akala’y tila maliit pa
itong Daigdigan sa aking panata.
Papaano, Ngayo’y
nagwagi ang layon.

BUKAS…
na inaamihan at hinahabagat;
itong Daigdigan ay isang palanas
na nabibinhian ng lungkot at galak.
Bukas! Ang pag-asa’y
mahirap mataya…

REACTION:
In love, there is no such a wrong love. The biggest mistake you could ever make is being too afraid to make one or loving a person in a wrong time so you just have to go with your heart.

MY FUTURE

There was a single moment in my life that drive my ambition to become an educator. Throughout my mother when asked "what do you want to be when you grow up" I always respond with something very deep like an educator, but I always knew that was just to follow the footstep of my mother. After I graduated in high school I knew exactly what I wanted to be. I wanted to become a police woman someday but I knew I was not capable to become one because of lack of self-esteem but instead I just take it as a challenge to pursue my dream to protect and serve my country. I thought that life was about happiness and dreams so I decided to stand up to what I believes in. Bit there's a point in my life that I almost give up of my course because of some difficulties during our trainings as package of my chosen field. But I knew that it only serves as an inspiration in my life and it has taught me to never give up on believing, and I knew that anyone can who they want to be, but only way to live that dream is to stick with it and never give up on it.

STORY OF MY LIFE

There is no greater pain that felt by not being accepted for who you are. When I was in grade 2 I started to confirm in myself that I'm a lesbian. I had a terrible crush on a girl, I actually had feelings for her that were more than just admiration or friendship. But no one knows about who the real me because of the way I dressed up. I've only change the way I dressed up since I've decided to took up criminology course. But my mom and dad didn't know that I'm a lesbian. So I just keep on pretending that I'm a straight girl knowing that they will get angry if they will know the truth until it came to a point that I've decided to reveal to them that I'm in a relationship with a girl for I was thought that they will just accept it. But I was wrong, they were so much disappointed. My mom never allowed too see my girlfriend until now.

WHAT DO I EXPECT FROM THE NEW PRESIDENT

I have very simple areas of my expectation for our next president. First, continuity of the economic reform and growth that we have been experiencing. Second, resolute in implementing the laws without fear or favor. Third is a president that can unite all Filipinos to move in disciplined cadence towards our country’s achieving a respected place in the league of nations, economy-wise and as a proud people. The priority should be poverty alleviation by providing more job opportunities even for those with limited educational background.Crime is just one part, a vibrant economy that can solve poverty is indispensable. Lastly, stop all forms of corruption at all levels.

THE WONDERS OF PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL

LAKE BALINSASAYAO
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB) manages tourist activities in the natural park. The bureau allows swimming, sightseeing, mountain trekking, camping, birdwatching, paddle boating in Lake Balinsasayao. The natural park has a concrete view deck, umbrella cottages, a restaurant, a souvenir shop, restrooms, and a visitor center.

LAKE BALANAN
Lake Balanan offers you their one of a kind facilities/amenities so that it will make your stay memorable and exciting it includes a lodging at their tree house, three swimming pool to choose from, gourmet restaurant, and a room for overnight stay. They have adventure activities also for water adventure/trekking lover like fishing, kayaking, boat riding, and hiking along the cemented pathways around the lake or going to the Waterfalls. It is one way for you to enjoy the magnificent views and the fresh mountain breeze that will bring you relief.

CASARORO FALLS
The single veil of Casaroro Falls drops unimpeded down a ninety-foot ravine and into a swirling pool that, well, reminds you of a flushing toilet. Jutting rocks await the water as it falls in a great and mighty roar.
Huge tree ferns in verdant hues and intricate patterns shroud rock faces covered by mother nature herself.

PULANGBATO FALLS
Pulangbato Falls has a wide cascade. The water pours down into a swimming hole that is also deep enough for high dives. Enthusiasts clamber up to a nearby rock that functions as a diving point and free fall into the water basin. The shape of Pulangbato Falls has been considered unique because of its layered structure. At the first tier, the cascade begins narrowly and widens progressively as it moves down the next levels. At a distance, the waterfalls look triangular in shape.

White Sand Bar
Though technically belonging to the jurisdiction of the neighboring Manjuyod town, the sand bar is closely associated to Bais City because of its proximity and popularity in the Bais area. It is also a major stopover during dolphin and whale watching group tours organized by the Bais City Tourism Council. The boat is temporarily anchored so that the guests can picnic, swim, sunbathe, and laze around, snorkel or scuba dive in the waters surrounding the sand bar.

Aerial
 View - Niludhan Falls

NILUDHAN FALLS
The trip from Dumaguete to Bayawan, and from Bayawan to Mabinay will allow you to see a myriad of interesting sites and glimpse at the provincial live of the local people of Negros Oriental. A 20-kilometer stretch of the Bayawan-Mabinay road, starting from Sitio Sitio Gamao to the falls drop-off point, is quite rough and bumpy. But this small inconvenience will be greatly rewarded with the hypnotic beauty of this stunning waterfall.

KANLAON VOLCANO
The volcano is a favorite spot for mountain climbers and is the centerpiece of Mount Kanlaon Natural Park, a national park originally established on August 8, 1934.[It is one of the active volcanoes in the Philippines and part of the Pacific ring of fire.

FAVORITE FILIPINO POEMS

BITUIN AT PANGANORIN

Ako’y nagsapanganorin upang ikaw’y makausap
At sa pisngi niyong langit ang dilim ko’y inilatag;
Ako nama’y sumang-ayon dapwat ako’y Panganorin
Na talagang hatinggabi kung lumapit sa Bituin,
Kaya ikaw, Bituin ko’y nasuyo ko’t naging akin.
Liwanag mo at dilim ko’y magdamag ding naghalikan,
Ngunit tayo’y inumaga! …  Akong dilim ay naparam
At natakot sa ama mong nandidilat sa silangan!

DAHIL SA PAG-IBIG
KAHAPON…
Sa tingin ko’y tila pawang kalumbayan
ang inihahandog ng lahat ng bagay,
pati ng mabangong mga bulaklakan
ay putos ng luksa at pugad ng panglaw;
akala ko tuloy itong Daigdigan
ay isang mallit na libingan lamang.
Mangyari, Kahapon
ang dulot mo’y lason.
NGAYON…
Sa mga mata ko ay pawang ligaya
ang inihahandog ng bawa’t makita,
pati ng libingang malayo’t ulila
wari’y halamanang pugad ng ginhawa;
sa aking akala’y tila maliit pa
itong Daigdigan sa aking panata.
Papaano, Ngayo’y

na inaamihan at hinahabagat;

na nabibinhian ng lungkot at galak.
Bukas! Ang pag-asa’y

SA TABI NG DAGAT

Marahang-marahang
manaog ka, Irog, at kata’y lalakad,
maglulunoy katang
payapang-payapa sa tabi ng dagat;
di na kailangang
sapnan pa ang paang binalat-sibuyas,
ang daliring garing
at sakong na wari’y kinuyom na rosas!
Manunulay kata,
habang maaga pa, sa isang pilapil
na nalalatagan
ng damong may luha ng mga bituin;
patiyad na tayo
ay maghahabulang simbilis ng hangin,
nguni’t walang ingay,
hangganq sa sumapit sa tiping buhangin…
Pagdating sa tubig,
mapapaurong kang parang nanginigmi,
gaganyakin kata
sa nangaroroong mga lamang-lati:
doon ay may tahong,
talaba’t halaang kabigha-bighani,
hindi kaya natin
mapuno ang buslo bago tumanghali?
Pagdadapit-hapon
Talagang ganoon:
Sa dagat man, irog, ng kaligayahan,
lahat, pati puso
ay naaagnas ding marahang-marahan…

Ang Kanyang Mga Mata
Dalawang bituing
kumikislap-kislap
sa gitna
ng dilim. . .
Tambal ng aliw
na sasayaw-sayaw
sa tuwing ako’y
naninimdim. . .
Bukang-liwayway
ng isang pagsintang
walang maliw!
Takipsilim

May isang dakilang pananampalataya,
Palibhasa’y inang may puso’t pagkasi.
